When he polished off Martin Kaymer on the 16th hole Sunday, Donald became the first player to go an entire week without trailing in any match. He played only 89 holes in six matches, another record, and led after 81 of them. And he was so dominant he became the first player to win any golf tournament without ever playing the 18th hole.

Prior to any golf on Sunday, Arizona was hit with an ice storm. The course was covered in snow and ice until the sunrise melted it just before the first tee shot.

The consolation prize for Kaymer was going to No. 1 in the world rankings. The 26-year-old German becomes only the 14th player to reach the top.

The PGA Tour rolls on to the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida as Camilo Villegas looks to defend his 2010 win. Coverage starts Thursday on the Golf Channel and continues through the weekend on NBC.
