The St. Louis Blues are 1-4 in their last five games and are running out of time to make a run at the playoffs for the 2011 season.
They remain 7 points out of a final playoff spot in the Western Conference with 20 games remaining in the regular season.
They just returned from a 3 game stint against the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, and Calgary Flames.
They rallied from a 2 goal deficit in Vancouver only to lose the game in the third period after a bad turnover in their own zone.
In Edmonton–they took care of the business. They won 5-0 against the worst team statistically in the NHL. Ben Bishop completed his first career shutout in the win.
Sunday night, the team lost a tough battle in Calgary 1-0 on another bad turnover by Tyson Strachan in the defensive zone. The puck went right into the slot and David Moss beat Bishop in the 5-hole to propel the Flames to the lone goal of the game.
The team will play at home against the Flames on Tuesday night with a chance to climb back into the playoff picture.
