With all the recent steroid busts, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has really cracked down. After UFC 143, only one thing became certain: Diaz, you need to quit smoking weed, homie.
The following fighters were tested by the commission at UFC 143:
Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit, Fabricio Werdum, Josh Koscheck, Renan Barao, Ed Herman, Dustin Poirier, Max Hollaway, Matt Riddle, Henry Martinez, Edwin Figueroa, Alex Caceres, Matt Brown, Chris Cope, Rafael Natal, Michael Kuiper, Stephen Thompson and Dan Stittgen.
All tests came up negative, except for Diaz who tested positive for marijuana metabolites.
His punishment has yet to be announced, but it’s safe to say we won’t see him in action anytime soon.
Condit will now face current champ GSP as the Diaz-Condit II fight is now out of question.

Say what you will, but big f’ing deal. The dude smoked weed and still kicked Condits ass. Steroids are one thing, smoking marijuana is entirely different. This is exactly whats wrong with America. We have so many other issues that need to be taken care of and we worry about an athlete smoking pot. Wake Up !!
Agreed. As long as it’s not a performance-enhancing drug, i’m not a harsh critic. At the same time though, as a professional in a top organization you have to abide by the rules. But there’s no question, he’s talented…anyone who can fight high has talent haha.
