The Blues look to rebound from a bad loss to the worst team in the NHL. ESPN cans the wrong analyst. Plus, some Ramblings.
The Blues had a “good” practice Wednesday according to Ken Hitchcock. The team apparently got the message after a pathetic 2-1 road loss in Columbus.

Could Chris Stewart hit the broad side of barn if he tried? I don’t know. He missed a wide open net in the 1st period Tuesday…just another terrible game for #25. He will play on the 4th line tonight versus the New York Islanders.

Hitchcock continues to criticize the team for not buying in. Wednesday’s slogan was “not everyone is in the pool.” If you’re not in the pool already, look at the standings. You’re in 4th place in the West. Have some pride, some respect for your teammates and dig in.

Barrett Jackman on the message sent.

Per our friend Jeremy Rutherford, the Blues are now 0-5-1 in their last 6 games against central division foes.

Carlo Colaiacovo will likely miss tonight’s game with a sprained wrist. Kent Huskins is finally healthy from an ankle injury and will play in Carlo’s spot.

The latest on Jason Arnott (shoulder) and Alex Steen (concussion):

Alex Steen is a +20 in 2011-2012.

Isle’s goaltender Evgeni Nabakov has been feast or famine. In the last five games, he has surrendered just 2 goals in 3 wins but 7 goals in the 2 losses. The Isles are 24-24-8 (12-11-3 on the road).

Linsanity continued against Sacramento Wednesday. 13 assists for yellow mamba. Here, get a free Lin Job.
And, I’ll plug another: The Rams hired a very bright, innovative scout as GM to aid Jeff Fisher in acquiring players.

ESPN dropped Ron Jaworski from the Monday Night Football booth.I think they canned the wrong guy. Look, Jaws is a nerd. But, the banter between him and Coach Gruden is great….and whatever it takes to keep Mike Tirico from talking is even better. Jaws is

X’s and O’s … and he does a damn good job at it, even if it’s corny. At some point, I’ll do a review of the best broadcast crews in the NFL (albeit it’s all opinion).

Former Chaminade star David Lee was sensational Wednesday night against Portland. Lee had 29 points, 11 boards, and 3 assists but the Trail Blazers won 93-91.

Another CCP baller had a sick dunk against Alabama Tuesday. Brad Beal Everybody:

Because your opinion matters!

Finally. some Rams thoughts.
What exactly does Randy Moss have left? At 35, Moss is fighting Father Time. But, Moss didn’t catch 954 passes for 14,858 yards and 153 touchdowns by accident. In fact, his 5 TD’s in 2010-2011 would have been tied for 1st for Rams receivers last season.

The Rams signed a promising offensive lineman out of the Canadian Football league last week, but the deal fell through when Jovan Olafioye failed his physical due to a kidney issue. Several NFL teams had been vying for his services, and it’s a “under the radar” loss for the Rams.
