Blues take on Canucks Tonight at Home

The Saint Louis Blues play their third game in four nights when they come home to face the Vancouver Canucks.

The Blues are coming off two back-to-back losses against the Minnesota Wild–whom they trail by 8 points in the Western Conference for the 8th seed playoff spot.

Goaltending has been a major issue all year for the ‘Note. They tried to address the situation this offseason with the acquisition of Jaroslov Halak from Montreal. Unfortunately, the struggles have been humiliating.

Regardless, the Blues take the ice tonight against Vancouver who is 36-11 overall and leads the NHL in points with 81.

These two organizations have created a small rivalry since their first round playoff matchup in 2008. Of course, the Canucks swept the Blues. They have yet to play another playoff game since. It has been two seasons of inconsistency and plagued by injuries.

Maybe tonight they can get the ball rolling. Center Andy McDonald and winger T.J. Oshie are both healthy and in the lineup. Game time is 7 PM at the Scottrade Center in Saint Louis.
